The Purple Squad scored a come-from-behind 125-114 overtime win at Friday nights' 30th Annual even held at Rend Lake College.
Zeigler-Royalton's Aaron Jones led all scorers with 24 points for the Purple Squad and he was named Co-MVP along with teammate Centralia's Carlton Westbrook (20 points). Jones and Westbrook had the best individual performances on the night. Jones won the Three-Point Shootout while Westbrook won the Slam Dunk Contest. West Frankfort's Isaiah Simelton added 20 points for the Purple Squad who rallied late for the win.
Mount Carmel's Jensen Dardeen paced the Gold Squad with 20 points while Murphysboro's Demarcus Moore added 15. Mounds Meridian's Marland Johnson scored 13 points, including a basket with under :04 left in regulation to send the game to overtime for the Gold's.
Eldorado's Alex Parker scored 10 points for the Gold Squad while Mount Vernon's E.J. Randolph added 11 points for the winning Purple team.
