Okay sports fans, the cooperative between Beecher City and Cowden-Herrick has an official name.
They are now the CH-BC Bobcats with Royal Blue and Red as the official colors.
They are the third cooperative in the National Trail Conference/Egyptian Illini Conference scheme of things.
Head coach Marc Bain saw a disappointing season of learning and growing that just didn't click in 2015-16 as the confluence of talented rivals never gelled.
BC-CH went just 8-19 overall, 1-8 in the NTC, and 2-3 in the EIC.
Nothing to write home about but that was the first year of the experiment with ten seniors from different schools trying to blend.
Although it didn't work, there is optimism this season that the working parts will mesh.
This season look for stark improvement as Coach Bain will have a group of juniors and sophomore to built the new beginning.
Four seniors will now get a shot at working together for the common good.
Two of the seniors were starters, with 5-foot-11 Konner Blackerby and 6-foot-4 Aaron Nohren back.
Blackerby is close to reaching 1,000-points for his career.
Look for letter winners Cody Grove and Trey Buzzard to be part of the starting lineup.
Grove is a 5-foot-11 senior and Buzzard is a 6-foot-1 senior.
“We are not very big in size this season, but we believe our youth and depth will play a valuable role in our success this season. The four seniors have plenty of experience, so this will be a strong point of our team,” said Coach Bain who is heading into his fourth season of varsity coaching at Cowden-Herrick and now the cooperative.
