The Illinois High School Association has announced the sites for the 2012-13 Boy's High School Basketball Tournament.

School from the ABV area will likely feed into three of the super-sectionals in 1A while there is a possibility that two difference ABV area squads could make it to Peoria through two difference super's.

In 1A, Altamont and Hardin County (Elizabethtown) were awarded sectionals that will feed into the Carbondale (SIU Arena) Supersectional on March 5, 2013.

The regional's feeding into Altamont include Albion Edwards County, Dieterich, St. Elmo and Woodlawn.

The Hardin County Sectional will feature the champions of regional's from Gallatin County, Mounds Meridian, Waltonville and Zeigler-Royalton.

In 2A, the sectional hosts that will also feed into SIU Arena on that double-header night on March 5, 2013 are from Greenville and West Frankfort.

The Greenville Sectional will get the champs from regional's at Breese Central, Hillsboro, Newton and Staunton.

The West Frankfort Sectional will have regional titlists from Eldorado, Hamilton County, Murphysboro and Sparta.

The 2A Supersectional to be held at the Springfield Capital Center could feature Teutopolis again. The Wooden Shoes have made back to back trips to the Elite Eight and could end up at the Sullivan Regional if the IHSA doesn't split up that group. Effingham St. Anthony, Moweaqua (Central A & M), Shelbyville, Macon (Meridian) and the host were at the T-Town Regional last February.

Of the 3A area ABV teams; Herrin and Massac County from deep southern Illinois will likely end up at the Carbondale Regional while Columbia and Freeburg could go to Waterloo.

Alton Marquette Catholic, another of the bump up casualties of the classification change for 2012-13, will probably be in the 3A Bethalto Civic Memorial Regional.

Those teams will feed into the Mascoutah Sectional.

Olney East Richland could possibly go to Centralia for a regional or could end up at Mattoon. If they go to Centralia, that regional is also goes to Mascoutah for the sectional. Mt. Zion is the host of the other sectional that will feed to the Springfield Captial Center for the supersectional.

The IHSA is scheduled to announce the team assignments to the regional's on December 15.
