Salem Supersectional Area "Top Ten" Class 1A Rankings
1. MOUNDS MERIDIAN (17-1)
This week the Bobcats can get a revenge win over Goreville – their lone loss of the season.
2. OKAWVILLE (9-7)
Five games in six days this week at the BIT. The going stays tough.
3. TRICO (10-4)
The Pioneers have been very consistent. Will get tested this week @ Sparta.
4. WALTONVILLE (12-3)
After dropping two-in-a-row the Spartans picked up a big road win @ Herrin.
5. WOODLAWN (10-5)
Rolled past three opponents this past week. The Cardinals seem back on track for now.
6. GOREVILLE (12-3)
The Blackcats should meet up with Meridian this Saturday night in the SEC finale.
7. SESSER-VALIER (11-3)
When Matyi isn’t playing (feeling) well – the Devils struggle. They try the BIT this week.
8. CARRIER MILLS (14-3)
Took control of the GEC, again. Coach Motsinger’s club should be ready for league tourney.
9. CUMBERLAND (12-5)
Making their schedule tougher this season has paid off for the Pirates. A post-season factor.
10. CRAB ORCHARD (16-2)
Reality set in this week with Carrier Mills and Cairo delivering the bad news.

West Frankfort Supersectional Area "Top Ten" Class 2A Rankings
1. BREESE CENTRAL (14-2)
Two losses to large schools should only make the Cougars’ claws sharper down the road.
2. MURPHYSBORO (17-1)
Coach Murphy’s club has handled huge hurdles this season. Big tourney at Massac this week.
3. PINCKNEYVILLE (11-3)
The Panthers have run the table at the BIT for five-straight season. Six is looking good, too.
4. COLUMBIA (12-4)
The Eagles are one of the favorites at a very good Sparta Tournament.
5. METRO-EAST LUTHERAN (15-4)
Opened Litchfield Tourney with a win. Big week for the Knights’ post-season seeding.
6. NASHVILLE (13-5)
The Hornets host an outstanding tournament this week loaded with post-season contenders.
7. HARRISBURG (12-5)
Not athletic enough to hang with Murphysboro – the schedule doesn’t get any easier.
8. HERRIN (11-7)
If the Tigers allow those problems to resurface – then shame on everyone.
9. DU QUOIN (12-5)
The Indians have run out of excuses. The Sparta Tourney title would help.
10. SPARTA (11-6)
The Bulldogs have already passed the 2008-09 team wins. Also a factor at home this week.
