NASHVILLE CLASS 2A SECTIONAL
BREESE CENTRAL CLASS 2A REGIONAL

BREESE CENTRAL 24, NASHVILLE 20
Playing a deliberate style of offense the Nashville Hornets nearly pulled the biggest upset of the regional championship night but fell just short.

Coach Brad Weather’s club didn’t score a two-point field goal in the contest but made six from behind the arc.

However Breese Central got just enough offense on the night with eight points from David Wiegmann and six points each from Keaton Scheer and Brandon Book to advance to the Nashville Sectional next Tuesday night.

Coach Stan Eagleson’s club improved to 27-3 on the season and will take on Metro-East Lutheran in the first game of the Class 2A Sectional.

Central struggled from the foul line (6-of-13) but made 5-of-7 in the fourth quarter for the win.

Nashville (21-9) had three players score six points each as Kyle Heggemeier, Tyler Meyer and Greg Guest each hit a pair of 3-pointers in the game.
