Senior forward Garrett Bartels added nine points while Levi Maxey and Malachi Maxey netted eight points each as Coach Greg Feezel's club advanced.

Beasley, a 6-foot-4 senior, stepped up with four 3-pointers for St. Elmo (17-11) who will now take on top-seed Nokomis on Wednesday night.

Beecher City (13-14) closed its season with a loss, despite 10-points from Brandon Gardner, a 5-foot-8 junior.

Six-foot-one junior Brady Barnes added nine-points for Coach Jason Eirhart's group.

BC battled back with a 19-10 third quarter to take a 31-26 lead into the fourth quarter.

But the hosts outgunned Beecher City, 16-2 in the final countdown.

AT WOODLAWN

SOUTH CENTRAL 43, ODIN 34

This 6-foot-3 senior scored 18 of his points in the second half as Coach Rick Simmons' club hit 13-of-17 free throws in the contest, including 10-of-13 in the final frame.

Freshman Bret Harmeier added six points while senior Rudy Hablewitz tossed in five.

Dustin Quick, another freshman, scored 12-points for Odin (16-11) while sophomore Austin Perkins added nine.

AT ZEIGLER-ROYALTON
COBDEN 64, SHAWNEE 52
After losing to Shawnee on Saturday night, the Appleknockers turned the tables on the Redskins, advancing with a victory on Monday night in the first game.

Coach Rhett Barke's club got balanced scoring with five different players netting double-digits in points.

Six-foot-one senior Josh Aspen notched 16-points to lead the way while teammates Parker Flamm, J.C. Chapman and Tyler Lewey added 12-points apiece.

Nathan Sweitzer contributed 10-points in the win.

Cobden hit 19-of-26 free throws (73 percent) to improve to 11-13 on the season.

Shawnee (6-15) closed the book on its season with junior Aiden McMahan scoring 13 points while teammate senior Brandon Pind tossed home 10-points.

AT BREESE CENTRAL

WESCLIN 67, DUPO 48
The Warriors extended their season while closing the Tigers' campaign with a win in the opener at Breese.

Coach Andrew Wilson's Warriors got 21-points from 6-foot-5 junior forward Michael Klein and 17-points from 6-foot-3 junior Kyle Eversgerd in the triumph.

Another junior, 6-foot-5 Brady Kunz scored 13-points for Wesclin (10-18) as they will take on top-seed Carlyle on Tuesday night.

Dupo saw its season end at 9-20 with Jason Meagher and Jimmy Dickerson scoring 13 and 12-points receptively in the loss.

Wesclin roared out to a 35-18 halftime lead and coasted home.

AT ELDORADO

WEST FRANKFORT 61, ELDORADO 56
The Redbirds received 21-points from sophomore Braxton Koehl in the win as WF will now face top-seed Harrisburg in the semifinals.

Sophomore Christian Dunning added 14-points as the Redbirds improved to 9-16 overall.

The Eagles (11-19) season came to a halt with Dylan Lawrence and Tyler Deaton scoring 14-points each.

Joel Boulds and Dillon Street added 12 and 10-points for Coach T.J. Zurliene.

BENTON 68, VIENNA 60
The Rangers (10-20) advanced with a win over the Eagles in the second game at Eldorado.

Coach Ron Winemiller's team was topped by the one-two punch of senior Dylan Sheeks and junior Nathanael Higgins.

Sheeks topped all scorers with 26-points while Higgins added 23.

Vienna (3-25) finished its season with Quinnton Bent delivering 21-points.

AT MURPHYSBORO

MURPHYSBORO 48, ANNA-JONESBORO 38
The hosts made the most of their opening night with a win over the Wildcats.

Six-foot-two junior Anthony Hibbler netted 14-points for Coach Daryl Murphys' team while 5-foot-9 senior Jacob Baird added 13.

Kane Wilson added 10-points for Murphysboro (12-16).

Anna-Jonesboro (5-23) closed its season with a loss with 6-foot-6 junior Ben McFarland scoring 12-points and 6-foot-3 junior Tyler Vaughn added nine for Coach Mike Chamness.

Murphysboro will play host to Trico, the top-seed, on Tuesday.

AT NEWTON

MARSHALL 60, CUMBERLAND 35
The Lions (22-8) advanced to play top-seed Robinson with a win over LIC league mate Cumberland.

Coach Tom Brannon had his team topped by 6-foot-5 senior Taylor Maurer with 17-markers while 6-foot-2 senior Walker Berner added 15.

The Pirates (4-25) were led by senior Colton Ingram with 11-points.

AT DIETERICH

NEOGA 67, HUTSONVILLE-PALESTINE 47
The Indians rode the hot hand and rebounding of the Baker Boy's in their opening round win.

Michael Baker, a 6-foot-6 senior center, scored 10-points and hauled in 16-rebounds while Jake Baker, a 6-foot-1 junior, notched 28-points for Coach Clay Haurberg's Tribe who improved to 11-17 on the season while Hutsonville-Palestine saw its season close at 13-14.

Coach Travis Titsworth's Tigers were led by senior Dylan Webster with 14-points and senior Tyler Heflin with 10.

AT STAUNTON

PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 63, EAST ALTON-WOOD RIVER 51
The Birds improved to 11-17 with the win and now will face top-seed Roxana on Wednesday.

Six-foot-one senior Chris Catlett topped Southwestern with 13-points while Sosa and Blake Lawson, a 5-foot-9 sophomore, and Eric Sosa added 12-points each for Coach Jason Darr.

The Oilers (10-18) lost despite 14-points from 6-foot senior Kyle Kearby.

CARLINVILLE 64, GILLESPIE 49
The Cavaliers (19-11) continued their season behind 22-points from 6-foot junior Barry Stewart and 17-points from Kyle Kleeman.

The Miners (9-21) got 12-points each from Chris Halpin and Blake Peterson.

AT HILLSBORO

GREENVILLE 51, EFFINGHAM ST. ANTHONY 40
The Comets used a 20-9 third quarter push to take control of the opening round victory on Monday night.

Coach Todd Cantrill's team improved its mark to 11-18 with the win behind balanced scoring led by 6-foot-5 sophomore Tyler Hutchinson with 11-points.

Craig Faulkner added nine points while Will Schaufelberger tossed in eight.

Six-foot-three senior Jacob Schuette finished his high scoring career with 16-points as St. Anthony ended its season at 11-19.

HILLSBORO 56, LITCHFIELD 52
In a battle of South Central Conference rivals, the Hiltoppers topped the Purple Panthers, behind 6-foot senior guard Jeremy Tuetken who popped home 15-points.

Six-foot-eight sophomore Dylan Miller added 13-points for the 7-21 club.

Litchfield (15-15) saw its season end despite 14-points from Alex Hull and 13-points from Peter Cui.

AT WALTONVILLE

CHRISTOPHER 57, WEBBER TOWNSHIP 19
The Bearcats advanced to take on top seed Waltonville with a win over the Trojans on Monday.

Coach Eric Stallman's 'Cats were led by 18-points from Eric Young and 13-points from Tyler Atchison.

Webber (8-19) was led by Koaltin Dye with six points and Ty Henderson with five.
