AT DIETERICH

DIETERICH 63, MARTINSVILLE 43
The Movin Maroons moved into the semifinals of their own regional with a win over the Blue Streaks on Tuesday night.

Head coach Jeff Staser's squad got 18-points from Dalton Hinterscher and 12-points from Brandon Westjohn in the win, which improved the hosts to 21-8 on the season.

Dieterich also got nine points from Tanner Traub and six apiece from Austin Bushue and Devin Aherin.

Zach Mulkins led all scorers with 24-points for Martinsville.

WINDSOR 63, STEWARDSON-STRASBURG 58
In the first shocker of the southern Illinois regionals, the Blue Devils took down their longtime rival Comets, using a big third quarter push to pull off the upset.

Coach Silas Pogue's club got a team-best 23-points from junior guard Alex Allen and 16-points from freshman Tristan Warner as Windsor improved its mark to 5-22 with the victory.

Stewardson-Strasburg (13-12) was topped by Justin Fulk with 16-points while Brandon Helmuth added 12.

AT ST. ELMO

ALTAMONT 73, RAMSEY 28
The Indians and head coach John Niebrugge kept their regional title aspirations going with an easy win to start the postseason.

Altamont (20-7) had 11-players ink the book as the Tribe sprinted out to a 19-8 first quarter lead and never let up to advance to the semifinals.

Six-foot-three senior Jon Kuhns paced the club with 14-points while Justin McGinnis and Ryan Mayhaus added 11-points each.

Ramsey (3-18) closed out its season with Ryan Black leading the Rams with eight points while Carter Hunt added six.

COWDEN-HERRICK 71, BROWNSTOWN 48
The Hornets will face Altamont in one of the semifinals on Wednesday night as they took care of their rivals by pulling away after intermission, outgunning the Bombers 44-20 in the final two quarters.

Senior guard Ethan Schoonover paced C-H (16-10) with 18-points while Luke Moore added 15-points.

Colton Burrus and Tyson Morgason added 14 and 10-points in the victory.

Brownstown (10-16) saw its season end on a sour note with three players ending up in double-figures.

Jacob Behrends led the way with 17-points while Matt Sefton and Austin Hunter finished with 16 and 13.

AT WOODLAWN
CHRIST OUR ROCK LUTHERAN 62, SANDOVAL 33
The Silver Stallions pulled away from the pesky Blackhawks, after a close first quarter, to improve to 19-8 on the season.

Coach Mike Shaffer's team got balanced scoring from three players with double-figures, led by 13-points from Hayden Klockenga.

Kyle Hahn and Tyler Burmester added 12-points each for CORL, who move into the second semifinal slated for Wednesday night.

Winless Sandoval (0-23) was led by Nico Rodriquez with 10-points.

The Blackhawks hurt their own cause by hitting just 3-of-18 free throws in the game.

PATOKA 54, MULBERRY GROVE 32
Coach Joe Eddy's Warriors rolled to a 32-11 halftime lead and coasted home to improve to 18-10 on the season.

Patoka was led by 15-points from Jake Orrell and 10-points each from Johnnie Clift and Sheldon Felchlia.

Mulberry Grove (5-17) received 14-points from junior Devonta Williamson in defeat.

AT ZEIGLER-ROYALTON

ZEIGLER-ROYALTON 52, ELVERADO 33
The host Tornadoes advanced to the semifinals with a win over the Falcons behind 13-points from Nick McPhail and nine points from Timmy Brooks.

In fact eight different Z-R players got on the scoreboard as Coach Matt Morgan's club improved to 16-13 on the season.

Brandon Stubblefield added eight points for the hosts, who led 31-14 at halftime.

Elverado (1-24) saw their season end as they were led by senior guard Kyle Whittington with 12-points.

THOMPSONVILLE 66, CRAB ORCHARD 61
The Tigers survived the Trojans' upset bid in advancing to the semifinals with the narrow victory.

In a battle of Greater Egyptian Conference rivals, Thompsonville held on after cruising to a 40-25 halftime margin.

Brady Householder, a 5-foot-7 senior, delivered 19-points for the Tigers who advanced.

Quentin Henson and Lance Darnell added nine and eight for Coach Brandon Chaplain.

Coach Jon Brown saw his club battle back behind 20-points from Tyler Deaton and 14-points from Gunner Galloway.

Deaton nailed five 3-pointers in the loss.

Crab Orchard saw their season end at 6-21 while the Tigers improved to 18-10.

AT BREESE CENTRAL

CARLYLE 62, WESCLIN 39
The Indians kept their hopes for a regional title alive as the top-seeded club handled Cahokia Conference rival Wesclin on Tuesday night.

Coach Andy Palmer's club improved to 23-7 with the win, leading 30-19 at intermission.

John Becker and Matt Hilmes each notched 19-points in the win while Cody Huels added 11.

Wesclin (10-19) was led by Brady Kunz with 14-points.

AT MURPHYSBORO

TRICO 53, MURPHYSBORO 43
The Pioneers, the top seed in a tough 2A event, held off the hosts to advance to Friday night's championship game.

Coach Mike Denault saw his club get 17-points inside from 6-foot-5 forward George Kuhlman as the Pioneers improved to 18-11.

Blaine LePere added 12-points while Kyle Hammel added nine.

Murphysboro (12-17) got 14-points from Steven Eldridge in the loss.

Trico will face either Carterville or Chester on Friday night in the regional championship.

AT NEWTON

ROBINSON 68, MARSHALL 37
The top-seeded Maroons had no issues with the Lions as they moved a step closer to a regional crown.

Coach Mack Thompson saw his club win behind 20-points from guard Aaron Siler and 14-points from 6-foot-5 forward Michael Akande.

Cory Blount and Derrick Nicholas added 11 and 10-points for Robinson (24-4).

Coach Tom Brannon's Lions were outscored 19-6 in the second quarter and trailed 33-17 at the half.

Thomas Sisson and Taylor Mauer scored 14 and 13 for Marshall (22-9).

Robinson outrebounded Marshall 41-21 and were 27-of-50 from the field (54 percent) while the Lions were just 11-of-42 (26 percent).
