MOUNDS MERIDIAN CLASS 1A REGIONAL
CENTURY 67, COBDEN 57
It wasn't a great night for the Cobden program as both the boy's and girls squads saw their season's come to an end.

The Appleknockers fell to SEC rival Century in the opening round at the Meridian Regional while the Lady Appleknockers lost in the Supersectional up at Salem.

Behind 22-points from Chris Baker - the Centurions outlasted Cobden and will now face top-seed host MM on Wednesday night.

Jacob Wyatt and Josh Wright added 16 and 10 in the win that improves Century to 13-15 overall.

Century head coach Tyson Bormann witnessed his club canning 15-of-21 free throws in the fourth quarter for the win.

Borman's team hit 20-of-26 free throws in the contest.

Cobden (12-13) closed the season with Lonnie Clark netting 17-points while Ryan Brumleve added 12.

Century broke a 40-all tie by outscoring the Appleknockers 27-17 in the final quarter for the victory.

HARDIN COUNTY 55, GALLATIN COUNTY 47
The Cougars improved to 15-11 overall with the eight-point win in the opening game at Goreville.

Catlin Vaughn topped Coach Rober Bell's club with 21-points on the night while Travis Cowsert produced 15.

The Cougars broke away from the Hawks in the fourth quarter behind Vaughn - who hit eight consecutive free throws and threw in a 3-pointer for good measure in his 13-point quarter.

Gallatin County (7-20) saw its season come to a hault despite 14-points from Jared Hunt and 10-points from Caleb Jones.

Windsor saw its season end in the opener of the Cumberland 1A Regional as Kyle Floyd led the Blue Devils (6-17) with 16 points in the loss.

Zach Webber chipped home seven points as no other Windsor player had double-figures but eight of the kids scored points to help keep the game close.

Oblong (13-13) changed the game with a 24-12 fourth quarter to pick up the victory.

Drew Morecraft scored 17 of his game-best 23 points in the fourth quarter for the Panthers.

The Indians put everything together in a white-wash win over H-P at Cumberland.

Head coach Janson Hanson saw ten of his players score in the victory with Cody Boarman netting 16 to lead the club.

Dalton Robinson added 14 points with Jared Massengill (9) and Zach Letizia (7) adding scoring.

The Tribe hit all 13 of its free throw attempts in the game and cruised to a 35-16 halftime lead.

H-P (5-19) got 14-points from Ethan Blankenbeker in the loss.

The Indians improved to 23-4 with the easy opener on Monday night in a regional in which they are heavy favorites to win.

Head coach Doug Hill used everyone in a uniform in the game as nine players scored.

Drew Frailey topped the charts with 20-points while Kieffer McCarron added 12.

Brian Suckow dropped in 10-points as did Greg Sperry.

Altamont led 27-4 at the end of the first quarter as McCarron and Frailey each connected on a pair of 3-pointers.

The advantage ballooned to 45-11 at intermission.

Nathaniel Maxey paced the Eagles (2-22) with 12-points.

In what would be considered a mild upset - the Hornets stung BC and eliminated the Eagles from the postseason.

D.J. Hovis led three double-digit scorers in the C-H hit parade as they advanced to take on Altamont at 6:00 pm Wednesday night.

Hovis scored 21-points while teammates Tyler Day (20) and Colton Heiserman (14) helped make sure the Hornets (8-15) would play another game.

Beecher City (10-17) closed the season on a sour note with the loss.

Head coach Terry Pruemer also had a trio of double-digit scorers with Macaulay Mason leading the Eagles with 19.

Lucas Levitt and Beau Hutchison aded 18 and 15.

Hovis, Day and Heiserman scored 20 of the Hornets 23-fourth quarter points.

FAIRFIELD 57, MOUNT CARMEL 50
The Mules kept their regional title hopes alive while keeping the Golden Aces from a third-straight regional championship with a Monday night win.

Head coach Scott McElravy had a pair of player go for double-figures in the win as Fairfield improved to 10-19 with the triumph.

Mount Carmel (4-24) failed to defend its regional title despite 17-points from Beau Grant (five 3-pointers) and 16-points from Tyler Browning.

Fairfield was directed by a game-high 19-points from Hunter Bryan and 13-points from Zach Zanders.

The Mules advanced to play Benton on Wednesday night by closing the contest with 8-of-10 fourth quarter free throws.

The host Indians opened their own regional with a win over the Midgets Monday night.

Andy Palmer's club listed three double-digit point scores and were led by 15-points from Josh Rosol.

Tony Schaeffer and Jordan Smith added 14 and 13.

Carlyle (6-25) moved on to play Nashville on Tuesday night by connecting on 15-of-18 charities including 7-of-8 in the final eight minutes.

Freeburg (8-19) who saw its season end in the first round - was led by Jake Sciuto with 10-points.

The Redbirds - who struggled this season for wins - picked up one on Monday night to continue their season.

Coach Kevin Toney's crew bested the Indians on the strength of Patrick O'Keefe's 19-points. Ashten Ashtiani added 17-points as West Frankfort (3-21) will get another shot at top-seeded Herrin on Wednesday night.

The Tigers beat WF 69-44 last Friday night to close the season.

Kendrick Simelton contributed 10-points for the Redbirds.

Johnston City closed its campaign with a loss eventhough Derek Soloman topped the Indians with 17 markers.

WF broke open the floodgates with a 17-4 third quarter and coasted home for the win.
